My sisters
and my brothers today I'd like to reflect with you about the topic above. The
bitterness that leaves root. How many times have we read this text, we don't
stop to think about it. But the truth is almost always we keep roots of
bitterness in our hearts. These roots are not on the surface. In fact, all the
roots are deep. When the roots are shallow they can't sustain the weight of the trees.
They (the roots) need to be deep. As larger deeper support of trees and more
difficult to be grubbed up. So are the roots. There is a type of weed called
nut grass that hardly can terminate with its roots. You think you ripped and
she sprouts again.
But I don't
want to talk of botanical sciences and Agronomy. I want to talk about people,
human beings. But people have roots in their lives? Yes. And often these roots
are deep. When they are roots of good things, Amen. In this case how much
deeper the better. But the problem is when they are roots of bitterness, of bad
things. We call this from roots of bitterness. Are things left in our soul. Can
be a grudge against someone, a conversation barely finished or not finished not
solved the problem and we get hurt. If this is not treated will if rooting in
us and those roots become deep and much more difficult to be grubbed up. Are
the wild boar of the soul.
So the word
of God it is recommended to not having roots of bitterness inside of us. So if
we have that kind of roots in us is
necessary that we be treated by God. When
you feel like you're bad about a person or situation you need to get help
immediately. The sooner the better. I know that we have very easily hurt feelings of the people. But I also know
that rather than seek live help designing our bitterness in others or in the
other. How many things we talk about that a person did or didn't do, or is not,
that has nothing to do with this person but with our lives. To eliminate
bitterness we need to be careful not to let any root, because if that happens
the root will blossom and become tree of bitterness at us again. For this
reason there are people who live this concertina effect. Comes and goes. Is
because no extirpate in the bud without leaving anything behind.
Loved ones we
think evil is in the other, the Church, the pastor, our boss, our wife but evil
can be in ourselves. Are roots of bitterness that were on us.
That God have
mercy on us and help us in the process of healing and liberation. The people of
God can't be a slave to it. Must be a free people in Christ. No hard feelings
and no bitterness.
If before we
offend someone should ask forgiveness before it's too late. Let's not let that
gap for that the enemy come in. If you
speak badly of someone seek to leave it as soon as possible. The offended
should also not live according to the offense received, but release forgiveness
so that it will not become roots of bitterness and later in tree of bitterness.
Amen.
