PASTPORAL WORD - FIX FIRMLY. (Dan. 1:8)

My brothers and my sisters today I would like to meditate with you on this resolve firmly to Daniel and bring to us, me and you. I'd start asking: How we have taken our decisions to serve God? Were more or less or steady, safe? Who would be the first for us? God and the Church or our personal stuff? What would have priority for us? In fact almost always are priorities for us our stuff. The Church is usually for the time. Ones we live in a time where everything is relative. Everything does in a relative way and even the biblical and theological values in our faith. The values of our faith are in accordance with what we think is worth at the time. The problem is that the values of the faith are inflexible. The pillars that give support to our faith cannot be relativized and shaken under penalty of our faith crumble. I see that this is one of the major problems of to turn the relative faith in everything. With this we thought one thing was wrong in the past today is not more, since we think that everything has to be embedded in current values, which today are others. How we turned the relative things  everything so we assume that the values of the faith also change and have to adapt to the values of the world who are always in this crazy metamorphosis. We  made a big mistake because the values of the faith do not change. Some things change even the way they are expressed, but the content is exactly the same. I'd say the content of faith is stable. That's why I chose the text of Daniel mentioned above, for he says that Daniel decided firmly not infected with the delicacies of the King. When we everything turned relative things related to our faith we come to no longer have trouble accepting what we are putting in the middle of the values of the faith. I believe that is exactly what we are seeing and living today. See how are the churches. What are the values that permeate our communities? What have been the directions of our preaching? We have been steadfast in what we profess to believe or danced as pray the music. We think if we don't grow up not flexible? But there are denominations that don't open their values and are consistent in what they think to be certain. These churches are with their temples entirely filled and grow alarmingly. Why this happens? Coherence, firmness. A church needs to be firm and consistent. His speech needs to correspond to his actions. But as the Church is composed of individuals I would call also the attention of everyone who reads this message and say, My brother or my sister you're firm about what professed to believe a day or has sought other means, other positions and placed in doubt your position? Remember that one day you decided to firmly and securely if nobody can make you change. I think make a difference nowadays is one of the biggest challenges for the Christian.
This difference is characterized by the fact of not in polluted with the delicacies of this world. How are we as Churches, as families and as individuals? That God have mercy of us and strengthen us in order for us to be firm in what we believe even if the price is high. The Lord is with us and will strengthen us always. Firmly decide for Jesus, with Jesus and in Jesus. His values are the  our interest. Amen. Rev. Jesué Francisco da Silva
