PASTORAL WORD-A CHURCH OF GIFTS AND MINISTRIES. 1 Cor. 12: 1-11; Ef. 4: 7-16.

My sisters and my brothers today I'd like to meditate with you once more about the Church of Christ call Methodist Church. For many years this church works with the commissions. There were commissions for all kinds of action, including of evangelism. But this guy gave place to the gifts and ministries. Gifts are capabilities that people receive from the Holy Spirit for the exercise of ministries that are services. How services are several so there are various types of ministries in the Church and for every Ministry the outpouring of the Holy Spirit giving supernatural capacity to the servant of God. The Church lived many years lost it. The staff didn't understand very well and I would say that to this day they still don't understand the dynamics of the operation of a Church of the gifts and ministries. However a large part of Church understood and practiced. That was enough to open up to those who wanted to work according to their gifts. The Church that was lethargic and each day going back in time, attached to the ritualism and religiosity dead, grew back and the Methodist people, at least here in Brazil, he returned to be a revived people, people who went to seek the Baptism with the Holy Spirit and to live according to the Spirit. This without doubt brought more advances as today we have the Church in cells, small groups, a church of Discipleship.
My sisters and my brothers we must not be afraid of the new. Always be open to learning new things that work in the Church, resulting in the conquest of lives for the Kingdom of God. So the studies and meetings aimed at raising awareness of the Methodists. I say because I'm Methodist speaking to the Methodist Church. However I know that many other denominations are working with gifts and ministries and now also with Discipleship.
Pay us in the hands of God, let us discover our Ministry making the bout of God grow. Amen.
Rev. Jesué Francisco da Silva.
