My brothers
and my sisters I will tell them about the Church of Christ, because this has
been my concern in recent years from the observation of the behavior of the
people of God.
Let's think
today about the permanence of the Church on the principles of God, God values
us. Nowadays we live in the time of relativization of all. Everything is
relative. With that same saying no, often we do relative all of the things and the
word of God also. We believe that God also has adapted to our human values so
flawed and so devious. This issue of human values is relative. Changes
according to the times, the conveniences of the moment and even people at
certain times or circumstances. The world is constantly changing. Of course,
many things have to be adapted to be performed and accepted. But there are
things that are immutable because its principles cannot be changed never. Are
mainstays. We also have a problem: How many times we confuse the change to do
the same thing with changing the essence of this thing. And I speak of the
essence. The values of faith, for example, cannot be changed in essence never.
If this occurs we can nullify that faith or reduce it to something less faith.
Is what we have witnessed in many cases. The problem is that we're talking
about God's good. Actually for me the problem starts and increases the danger
when speaking of God. Mix so much that eventually annul the own God who speaks and
faith who say they have a clear example is the idolatry that passes for faith.
But idolatry is condemned by the Holy Bible book of rule and faith of
Christians around the world. See Psalm chapter one hundred and fifteen. What
talks about idolatry? See the commandments in exodus Chapter 20, verses one
through seven. Understand what are the recommendations of God about idolatry.
But there is worship of other Saints that are not only images. But are people
who after dead were canonized by the Church of Rome as being Holy. These
so-called saints or alleged start to intercede for those who are here on Earth.
That is, become God assistants. It does not show it. Not even the people
closest to Jesus were given this assignment, that assignment. It was the
Christians who with the passage of time were introducing in the Church of
Christ. But in the middle there is also Evangelical idolatry. Adore people,
organizational institutions designations, and people. Have Evangelical churches
worshipping certain preachers. Others have some people as if these were his
gurus. Don't accept that decrements the value and prestige of men and women who
powerfully have been used in the hands of God? In any way. There are people who
have the gift of faith. Others have the gift of wisdom. Are special people, but
should never be idolized. Are only instruments in the hands of God.
I believe
that all of this has led people or Churches to leave your first love. Do
everything right as the model that we saw in the biblical text base of this
message. But they are far from being what they were before. Entered by wrong
paths and obey the teachings as erroneous or out of the biblical parameters
which are no longer what they were at the beginning.
I invite you
to think with me today if it would be this is the time to stop and reaching out
our eyes for the first love and we repent, we get back to the true principles
that have always governed and govern the Church of Christ. Amen?!
