My brothers
and my sisters today I would like to meditate with you on sending of God. When
God sends us and get talking. God wants to speak to his people and call someone
and send them at to speak. It's always good to remember that God calls this
prophet Ezekiel who is a contemporary
of Jeremiah and send to talk to the people of Israel. Yes. Israel was in sin,
because he had disobeyed the commandments and ordinances of the Lord. The Kings
were always rebelling and sin. Talk to people outside such time would have been
easier. But the people of God into sin became very difficult task and required
courage, determination and the constant monitoring of God. So the Lord said to
Jeremiah: not fear before them because I am with you to get you out. You go
where I send you and will tell you what I tell you to speak. I give you power
for it.
But what the
pastor Jesué is saying with this? I'm calling the attention of the people of
God to say that these people often rebel against God and don't understand. That
is impressive. The people of God sins against him with their attitudes, their
complaining at all, about everything and all things; their untruths and doesn't
want to hear the voice of God. But how is the Lord's people is a people beloved
and God sends prophets to speak to these people even being rebellious. The big
problem is that rebel against God are usually also rebels in relation to his
prophets. But the prophets need to speak on name of God even if it cost them
their heads. And often cost even. One of the things that the people of God when
you are in Sin does not support is the truth. Would you rather hear lies and
misleading words and continue maintaining only the appearance. They continue It
is good maintaining the appearance. We maintain the appearance and condemn the
prophets of the Lord and we want to banish from our midst. But it has no
problems. One go and another come and God to continue his work. I always have
called attention to it: we speak one thing and think another or we think
something and talk another. Well, that's very serious sin we need to wake up as
soon as possible and go to the Lord's feet to ask forgiveness and mercy. But
instead we continue sinning not to open our ears to hear the voice of those
which God sent us to let us to know. Forge situations against them to the to
turn without merit and make your predictions without credit in order to we
justify our mistakes, our sins before men. Yes because we know we can't fool
God. But it is always good to remember that the prophets of God are speaking on
name of God and woe to him or that you turn on these prophets even saying you
love them, because none of us cheats the God. I repeat among the people of God
is very common to speak one thing and thinking another or thinking one thing
and think another. But the Envoy of God
not afraid because God is with him. The new Israel of God today is his
Church. Therefore the word of the Prophet today is for the Church. God's people
today is the Church. But what about the behavior of the Church? In many
situations is very similar to the old Israel. God speaks and the Church does
not want to hear. Are truth and life changes that God proposes and the Church
is not always willing to accept.
I not only
speak of the local church, but the Church in General. Just look at our behavior
to find out all of this. But my plea is for us to take very careful. Christ is
at the gates and will settle accounts with us. That God have mercy on all of
us. Amen.
