TEACH THE COUNTING OUR DAYS (PSAL. 90: 12)

My sisters and my brothers on Sunday PP I brought a message to the church based on this theme and in this text. Today I would like to continue sharing it with you. Teach us to count our days to ... Tell here is not in accordance with asymmetric. But it means learning to live well to achieve wisdom. Well, if we talk about living well is because the opposite also exists. Many people live evil. In fact, I'd say don't even live. Just existing. It's one thing to live and another very different is just to be. Those who do not learn how to count the days can't learn to live well and therefore live evil. Living well is not be rich financially, don't you have a prominent position in society, being famous or infamous. Living well is be happy. My sisters and my brothers I was pastor of a very wealthy family. One day I went to visit her, because she was suffering from a series of difficulties. I realized that weren't happy and quite the contrary, was very sad. I asked the head of the Home: Brother you're happy? He filled the eyes of water and said: Pastor you knows this is impossible. Happiness does not exist. I had to spend a good time with that brother trying to convince him that happiness is possible and there is. The issue was that the family was seeking happiness in all the wrong places and ways. That same day brother invited me to visit him at his Office at night. I got there more or less 9:0 pm. Early in the conversation he told me: Pastor I today changed the car. This was not news, because he did it often. But the novelty for me was when I asked him: how is this new model? How you felt the car? And he told me I don't know yet. I asked how you don't know if you bought our expensive at ten in the morning? He replied. Because I haven't seen the car. it's down there in the garage of the building. My employee did everything and the Dispatcher and the insurer came here in the Office and I signed all the paperwork, but I haven't seen the car. Naturally I was silly. He told me: Pastor to me is just another car. I already have so many others. Continued: Pastor I have fear of being poor and have never been poor. But my father told me: God gives wealth to men but seems to get them pleased to enjoy them. The father of this man about whom he spoke was very rich. An international medical and successful and also knew the Christ. But I blamed God for the lack of pleasure of enjoying the riches received. But the problem was not that the fact of never having learned to count the days of his life. Lived as a function of money and haven't learned how to view and to cultivate other values which make a person happy. Maybe he hadn't learned the prayer of the psalmist in Psalm in agenda, teach us to count our days to ... Yes you need to count the days. The is: live well the time that God gave us to live in this world.

In general people want to be want to be happy but without God in the heart. Well, that's impossible. God is the principle of all peace and happiness. He provides for everything to be harmonious in us, so that everything goes well with us.

On this first Sunday of the year I'm inviting you to rethink their lives and seek to pray like this: teach us ho God to count our days! Amen.

Rev. Jesué Francisco da Silva.
