PASTORAL WORD CARE: THE LAW OF JETRO IN DISCIPLESHIP AND IN LEADERSHIP CHURCH. (EX. 18:13 -27)

My sisters and my brothers today I would like to continue talking about the Church of Jesus. But showing other needs we witness with certain constancy between us and that is not always taken into account. But pastor, what would this need? Well read the biblical text to the top. The Jetro (father-in-law of Moses) came to see him. At once there realized that huge crowd in front of Moses from morning  and asked what that was. Moses said to him: it is the people who come to me with their causes so that I judge them. The wise Jetro advises Moses saying: that's not good for you and not for the people. You'll swoon and the people will be without the guidance they need. That's a lot for you alone do. Choose from among boss of thousand people, boss of a hundred and boss of fifty. Men of good reputation, God fearing. You only will administer and all the people will have their causes well judged and without suffering, of course. Moses did this and it worked great. So let's reflect on the Church of discipleship and the respect of the leadership of this church. Maybe you read this reflection is not yet known. But a year ago we again coaching a group to lead. That's because we know that in a church of Discipleship a pastor can't will to drive alone. There will be cells for all businesses, that is the our hope. Therefore I'm empowering sisters and brothers to lead the Church. These brothers and sisters trained not only will be cell leaders, but of other areas on the journey of the Church also. Empowering because without that each group will walk one way and this can damage the Church contrary to the vision of Discipleship. We believe that at this moment the pastoral leadership will need to delegate powers, but it has to be very careful in conducting the process. The pastoral work is that of Advisor and enabler of their leaders for performance of its functions. Leaders must always be under the command of pastoral leadership, because without that the groups lose doctrinally and also of Biblical/Theological point of view. And that job is pastoral. But if the Minister wants to do everything alone will be a disaster. He's going to blow and the Church shall not walk with spiritual vigor. So the wise is the law of Jetro. Divide tasks delegating powers. But for this empowering its leadership. We hope that the whole Church is involved in vision and that families are opening the doors of their homes to the functioning of cells. Because in a church of discipleship and in being a ministerial Church, there's no more spaces for worship assistants, passivity. All and all, somehow should be involved or engaged in the Mission of the Kingdom of God within the vision of cells or small groups of Discipleship. I'm sure a church well led will be a strong Church and a church that will grow in every way. Amen.
Reverend Jesué Francisco da Silva.
