I would like to reflect with you on both types of churches, one that we would all like that we were and who we really are. But which of the two is that we are and we are? Well that question is difficult to answer, but it can be perceived easily where we are and who we are. In other words, don't have in almost every time they are asked, the answer, but we know what kind of Church we're looking with eyes of love, compassion and sincerity to our community.
We've been
working for some time in a church of Discipleship. I already feel a little
surprised we had to do that since we know that the main function of the Church
is to make disciples. This is an ancient commandment of Jesus. "Go into
all the world and make disciples ... And behold I am with you all the days
until the consummation of the ages ". (Mat. 28:19-20) So when we see the
need to do courses, seminars, studies all the time about this topic got spooked
and convinced that we don't understand yet what is our mission in this behest
as a church. Maybe that's the reason we're almost always focusing on other
things. Because it is so. When we lose sight of where we're going or what we're
doing we're focusing on other things. We spend time, resources materials, etc.
in preparation of staff to make them simply fulfill a commandment of Jesus when
in fact should only be observed by all of us.
I personally
have observed a large part of the Church that only follows. Watch literally to
cults and criticize what others are trying to do. The funny thing is I don't
have anyone else to criticize and realizing that we're seeing things out of
focus we criticize the pastors of our churches that sometimes nothing back,
chest, swim, do freestyle, but not out of place, because there is no Church
only of pastors. Church's group, is people. The pastors for more that are
motivated and willing to move will fail if the Group did not respond positively
to the calls made. I'm preaching about discipleship for five years and there
are more than three I'm ministering studies about it. However I wonder: how
many of us are really involved in this work? What is the percentage of the
Church that really believed in the idea and "wore the shirt of
Discipleship? The interesting thing is that we admire the churches that are
growing alarmingly with discipleship, but we're still thinking that
difficulties only job type in features. We have to admit that for years we have
been a church, and each of us learned all this time looking at his own navel. Don't
we evangelize and the few that our pastors bring to the Church without us to do
almost anything, we find a way to create some
problem and we removed those people of our midst. We do this so natural that I didn't
even know and then we're still looking for the culprits. But to no avail. We
have to assume our share of guilt and repent before God with tears and sorrow.
We are sinning. And since there's only one way to get rid of sin in us, then we
must put that way is repentance before God. Once this is done we need to launch
the work of all our hearts. We have to have passion for the lost souls. We have
to get them whatever the cost. Who will do the work is the Holy Spirit. But the
instruments are all of us.
When I say that the whole Church is involved in
working with cells does not mean we're seeing all the people working on it.
This is a way of saying: look, this is not a small group, but we, of the whole
Church. That is, the whole Church must be involved in it and who is not is out
of order in the current way of working the church growth at the moment. Still:
we're not having another way to evangelize. Discipleship through small groups
(cells) is the form adopted by the Methodist Church to evangelize. It is in
this sense that the pastor of the Church has stated that the whole Church is
involved. But how do we know that many people don't get involved then appeal to
your heart so open your House (Home), if delivered of body, soul and spirit to
this work. Don't stay out. It's not just an Assistant, but active, participant
of evangelization through the cells. Look for a way out and open a cell. Invite
people. If these don't come from? Go behind others. There are others who also
need the saving grace of Christ. Wake Up Church! Discipleship is here and here
to stay. Raises The Church! See the fields are white for harvest. Enough for us
to be discussing only the Church, the problems of the Church. Enough to go
there, to La La and bla bla, Onward in the work. The text in a bitch says the
Church must grow following the truth in everything which is the head, Christ
from whom the edification of yourself in love. the whole body fitly and
consolidated by the aid of the whole Board, according to fair cooperation
everywhere, performs his own rise to
I believe
that now we have clear before us the
Church that we would like to be and the Church that we are. So we are the
ideal, the one that makes disciples in cells. Amen.
