PASTORAL WORD: WHAT IS THE TRUE CHURCH OF CHRIST? (Mat. 16:17-18).

My brothers and my sisters today once again I'm going to talk about the Church of Christ. I know this topic has been studied repeatedly in our Church bulletins in Lins. However I realize that we reflect on it a little more. Today I would like to think about my question above. There are so many Churches today and each claiming for themselves the right to be right and according to the word of God which often I ask me: what do you think of my church? Because we are not following the same theological orientations of them and of their churches. What would be the answer? I believe that there is no reply stating this is correct or that is correct. Except when it comes to sects. In this case we know that are not Churches. But on those who call themselves the Church even with the exotic names there is no way to say: this is correct. Or this is incorrect. It is very difficult to do that even when it comes from the Roman Church with their doctrines far outside the Scriptures. But so which one is the true Church of Christ? I'd say not one. Yes pastor? Yes. Not only one. The Church of Christ is composed of people who really follow him. These people can be everywhere. So I have no problem in saying that the Church of Christ is much larger than the "Churches". Have you ever wondered if the Kingdom of God were limited only to the Methodist Church? Or by the Assembly of God? Or the Baptist Church, Presbyterian, etc. How little would be this Kingdom of God? Have you ever thought what it would be like little this Kingdom? But thanks to God is not the Lord's servants and handmaids in all these and many more churches that don't even know the name and where there are. Organized Churches or movements are required to have a reference to provision of services. A Local community we have a model of the Universal Community of saved. In this community, we provide services in the Kingdom of God and we have a way to show and to live our communion. But we must never lose the idea that the true Church of Christ is not just that we belong.
When the Bible speaks of the Church not talking about the Assembly of God, Methodist, Presbyterian, Baptist, etc. But  talking of the saved in Christ who are everywhere. Hallelujah! Unfortunately, these divisions have marked negative way our Christian walk. Of course, each title has its own way of being, its doctrinal emphases and their customs. But that doesn't give any title the right to carve out for themselves alone the title "Church of Christ".
But pastor how to identify the real members of the Church of Christ and the true Church? By the testimony of life. Be a follower of Christ is to have a lifestyle. This marks the people and make them recognized. The Bible tells us that by their fruits you will know them. Who is true Christian belongs to the true Church of Christ and do what Christ would do. Christ would do what that person is doing? Don't. So she does not belong to Christ or to the true Church of Christ. A community where its members live in unity and in communion with each other. A community where a member does not curse his brothers and sisters, where there is respect for the leadership that put God to direct her, where each knows he not only owns the truth and that a community exists only from two or three people according to the words of Jesus that say: Where are two or three people gathered in my name, there I am in the middle of them. Without a doubt this community is part of the great Church of Christ spread everywhere. But these days what you see are people speaking one of the other criticizing their pastors had no modesty. It's a shame! Local communities are organizations for the service of the Kingdom of God. Each designation is just a branch of the Universal Church of Christ. The big tree is composed of many other branches.
Let us be faithful to our names, but we know that the Church of Christ is much higher. Amen.
